Things got much better after the second month for us. Now that he is 4 months he is pretty much sleeping through the night, sometimes for 12 hours straight.
12 hours? Holy cow....that is awesome....or should I say, lucky!

He is over 2.5 years and still some nights he will just wake up, could be more than once a night, and cry or scream for a few minutes and then back to sleep. I'm a light sleeper so it screws my sleep.
I can sleep through a hurricane, which worries my wife.....I've been told that my senses while sleeping will heighten when I know I need to get up for the baby.
Speaking of sleep....I took some nyquil last night trying to fight off a cold and I fell asleep on the couch and the wife apparently left me there. She forgot to set the alarm so I woke up an hour late. Good sleep though! Lucky I heard the wife in the apartment below us yelling at her husband!
