Good Morning ND!

Happy Columbus Day!

For all of those that are off, have fun, and those that aren't, still have fun!

Hello ND chapter. Man its been awhile since I've posted in here. I think its time to get some convo going.

Main reason I haven't been online as much is because my dad was hospitalized for almost 2 weeks. He just got out on Monday and has proven to be a handful. So its been a trying time to get anything done lately. Wish I could tell you what was wrong but that's still to be determined if at all.
To top it all off my back is still messed up pretty bad. Man I wish I would have taken out medical insurance a few months ago. lol So of course between these two burdens I haven't had a chance to even think about tearing the truck apart. Might just have to bite the bullet and take it in, but that's only last resort.

Dave hows the motor swap coming along? Did you get the 302 pulled out? How about the wheeler, any progress?

Sorry to hear that Ryan. Hope it all works out for you.. Do you go to the cyroparctor(killed the spelling on that lol) at all?

I pulled the motor out, got the 351W tore down and sent to the machine shop, the 5 speed slung between the frame rails, and the 302 tore down.
Spendy work bench.

new puppy sleepin on my "bench"

And here is what I found when I took the 302 apart.

I'm hoping to have the parts and block all back sometime friday so I can assemble the motor this weekend.

Thanks Dave. I'm sure everything will be just fine within time. I have never gone to one but have been considering it now more than ever. I hit a guard rail at 70 mph on with my drivers side about 10 years ago, and have had back problems ever since. I physically rehabilitated myself about 5 years ago and it seems like the progress I made then is finally coming undone a bit.

Well you sure are making good progress. Was that head on that side damaged too? That's a nasty hole you go there. lol I still wonder what would have brought that on.

I would go see one if I were you.

No head damage. It was more than likely a bad injector, even tho I replaced them with rebuilts.

Yeah I will have to do that, once I save a few bucks to cover the costs. I was told it could be over 150 for the first visit.

Could have even been a tiny crack anywhere in the cylinder, or portion of head gasket, which would let in even the smallest amount of air to lean it out in that cylinder. Oh well, perfect reason to upgrade. I want your truck! lol

Align-Mindt Chiropractic 701-255-3950. Give him a call and see what he says, very good place to go.

Ya, could have been, and sure is perfect time! Thanks, its gettin upgraded a lot faster than I was hoping! Adding up fast I tell you. I have yet to buy a clutch master cylinder, set of fuel injectors, and a drive shaft.
