Hey - I think that's pretty good for cutting by myself, splitting, and hauling out of the woods with only the help of my 11 yr old daughter and two reluctant teen boys....
Honestly, I know a lot of people who can do twice that in a day, but a month ago I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do any wood this year because of my asthma. Sure I could just buy it, but for what I'd spend on wood, I could just run the back-up heat all winter.

The 4 that hung out at my shop had no problem using it for heat so they could work on ricers, but when it came time for cutting/ spiting there were gone.
Have you had you 1st fire this year? still no heat here!

No fire yet. We had the back-up on with the first cold snap we had a few weeks ago, but have had it turned down so low it hasn't come back on in a while. I've been putting off lighting it up until I have a chance to climb up and clean the chimney first. I'll also need to clean the elbows connecting the furnace to the chimney which means taking them apart - not something I've been looking forward to.
