Question Electrical Problems

I recently bought a 1975 Ford F100 w/302 and replaced the tail light bulbs thinking that they were bad, but it turns out that the bulbs are not at fault:

1) Driver's side tail light does not work, brake light does

2) Passenger side brake light does not work, tail light does

3) Neither back up light works

4) One dash light works, the right turn signal arrow, but this stays on all the time when the headlights are on.

Both headlights and parking lights work along with all of the side marker lights.

I haven't looked into the dash light problems yet, but what are the steps I need to take to correct these problems?

I recently bought a 1975 Ford F100 w/302 and replaced the tail light bulbs thinking that they were bad, but it turns out that the bulbs are not at fault:

1) Driver's side tail light does not work, brake light does.

check the entire wiring circuit (from just under the bumper left side) to just that light bulb filament.

2) Passenger side brake light does not work, tail light does.

Check to see the brightness of the bulb filament ,to make sure they aren't cross-connected first.
Then get back with the info

3) Neither back up light works

Probably the combination neutral safety <>B/U switch,
Attach 12 v power to the wiring to the bulbs to check.

4) One dash light works, the right turn signal arrow, but this stays on all the time when the headlights are on.

More than likely a short in the running light circuit that is shorting to the turn light circuit, this will illuminate the Trun signal dash light

Both headlights and parking lights work along with all of the side marker lights.

I assume you're talking baout the front park lights?
Excellent

You will need some sort of 12v power supply(even a 25 ft wire from the battery) to attach to wires near the bulbs or wiring connectors & See above

Sounds like a possible case of bad grounds too...
