Talking Another Prop to RiffRaff!!!

Dropped my Excursion off to the stealer to have them look at it. Running bad, shaking, etc. They called and said I needed 2 injectors and a harness. Went and picked it up called Clay at RiffRaff. He talked me into buying the AE scan tool. Got it down here, ran it and after talking to Clay decided that maybe it was just the UVCH loose. I was throwing the P1316 code and 2 glow plug codes. Pulled the VC off and low and behold the plug was loose. Tightened it up and secured it with my own method (some small drill holes and wire) put it back together, and what do you know. No more codes and it is running like a champ. Clay promised the AE tool would pay for it self with in a year or so. Seems it has paid for itself in th first week!!!

If you are not buying your stuff from RiffRaff you are an idiot. Best service and prices around!

Thanks Clay again..this one saved me.

Amen to that. I've had nothing but positive dealings with Clay.

That is probably why we see so many new oem parts on ebay. Clay is a great guy and glad you got some diagnostic equipment. Glad to hear your truck is fixed.

Case and point as to why I don't take it to the dealer. The closest I get to going to the dealer is emailing Ed.

Yeah for Clay, Boo for dealers...

Really? Injectors and a harness for a loose connection? Half of the fifty cent mod fix this one.

I think the problem with the dealers is, their mechanics use the scan tool they have and what ever the Scan tool says, that's what they do. I don't think they look as deep as we do to try to save the customer money.
