If you have a stock Ford 4V intake you might have a problem if the 650 has larger
secondaries than the primary side. The stock Ford intake is made for a 4180 Motorcraft
Holley in which the primaries and secondaries are the same size. See if you can find a
carb to manifold gasket for your stock application and see how it fits to the manifold
side of the 650. This might save you some trouble.
The 4165/4175 spreadbore Holleys are 650cfm Quadrajet replacements IIRC. You can get a 3/4" thick or so adapter to fit on a square bore manifold, I've seen them as little as $13. Or you can find a GM guy somewhere who wants it and has a 4160/4180 you could use.
