I have a 1994 7.3L IDI turbo diesel, with manual trans. The injector pump has gone south. Called Ford for a replacement and was advised that that was an obsolete part and is not made any longer. I need a new one, does anyone know where I can acquire a replacement pump? Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Depending on your location you may also be able to find a more 'local' diesel shop that can rebuild the pump too. Ask around with heavy equipment, large truck, or farm equipment shops to see who they use in your area.
It's also a good idea to consider changing the injectors as a set when replacing the pump, generally the lifespan on them is similar anyway. Pensacola has new delphi's pretty reasonable, enough so that it's not worth saving the few bucks to get rebuilt injectors.
