Hello, I just bought a 1992 F150 Ext cab xlt Lobo. the guy told me it has a tow package on it. It has 235/85/16 tires. One question is what is the LOBO and how is it different from the other models? My main question is...My friend needs to move a toy hauler she is borrowing. It's a 30ft toy hauler. It needs to be moved about 30 miles across town. I have no idea if my truck would do it or not. Any help wouldbe great!!
Thanks
Lobo is a "sales come on package" used in Mexico. No special equipment.
For positive views on towing, you need to list engine, trans, gearing. Do you have electric brakes wired in your truck? Weight of trailer, conventional or fifthwheel? Any hills, city traffic, etc. for the proposed travel route?
any of the 92 ford trucks could pull it 30miles... empty... I wouldn't pull a 30 ft trailer any more than the 30 miles though without knowing certain things... how much it weighs? trailer breaks? are you wired for it ? what engine do you have? do you have a tranny cooler? what tranny? what is your axle code on the door jam sticker?
if you have a 92 Inline 6 with no trailer breaks, the trailer is full, and 3.08 gears... I wouldn't pull it until late at night when the roads are empty and you have ample stopping distance.
