Well I will have to drill 2 holes in the frame as I have over load springs to go in! Got them free so I can't beet that! What type of trailers to u guys pull? I'm looking at or for a 20ft goose neck trailer, Something like 17ft 3ft beaver tail, 12,000 gross.
You will have no problem towing that with a B&W because they are rated for like 30K gross trailer weight and 7.5K tungue weight. I tow a trailer rated at 24K with two jeep wranglers and it does real good. Need some more powermods though.
B&W's are great. If you go with a turnover ball, and use your bed to haul stuff a lot, be sure to pull the ball every once in a while and clean stuff off the side of it, or give the side of the ball a spray of fluid film to coat it. Those things are no fun to pull out when you get dirt/sand/junk wedged in there while the ball is upside down.
When I bought my truck, it had been used mostly for hauling a slide in camper. I don't think the ball was ever removed from the hitch. It took 2 hrs., 1 can of PB Blaster, a bearing puller being used as a press, A torch & a large hammer to get it out. What Fun !
