2v or not 2v that is the question

good afternoon everyone .Two questions what is a 2v engine and a 4v engine and how do i know what is in my 72 f-100 thanks.

2V is two venturi, or 2 bbl carburetor. 4V is four venturi, or 4 bbl carburetor.

All 1965/72 V8 engines installed in F100/350's came from the factory with 2V carburetors. 4V's were not an option until 1975, and then only in F100/350's with 390's (VIN engine code M).

a really quick way to be sure.

since your question what how do i tell the fastest way is to grab a stepstool pop the air cover off and count the barrels 2v is two barrel 4v is four barrels as was mentioned a few posts up
