I made my bars myself Lew. They need some refining that I haven't had time to mess with. Also, I haven't raced on anything other than my Pirelli A/T tires that I drive on everyday w/ 40psi of air in them since I drive it to the strip and home. I have to check my latest timeslip, but IIRC the truck picks up almost 20mph on the back half...

Sorry for the thread hijack!!!

nah don't worry about the thread hijack at all i'd like to figure out how to get my junk to hook as well i figured with some fat slicks it'd hook pretty well, but i'd like to find some traction bars that don't kill ground clearance, i made a set of traction bars that weld to the plate that goes ontop of the spring with the u bolts through it and go to the front spring mount but they are going to really limit my flex

i've seen in F.A.S.T. they clamp their leaf springs to stop them from wrapping i think they clamped the back but i forget, and at the same time that would hurt my flex too

as for launching in 4x4 i used to break the u joints and hubs in the front end when i launched my truck on nitrous in 4x4 with the old motor that was maybe 450hp on the bottle at the most so idk what would happen if i launched it on the bottle in 4x4 now............it's about time for a kingpin dana 60

ya, don't launch in 4wd in that case. The stuff in our diesels is a lot stronger obviously.. I've been trying to figure out how to get my 2wd to hook up w/ out hopping, but had no luck so far.. Let us know how it does. I've been looking at switching to Caltracs and taking out the stock blocks in the rear, but haven't gotten around to that yet. A locker has to come first for me. One wheel peel isn't cutting it for me.
