Hey Guys, I'm new to this website and new to a diesel engine. I'm removing a K&N air intake that the previous owner installed and going back to stock. Is there anything special that needs to be done? Is it as simple as removing the old and installing the new?
Not really anything special. Make sure you have all the pieces of the factory intake before you start. Should take you about 30 minutes or less to complete. The only thing you might want to do special is to get some MAF cleaner and spray off the MAF sensor when you switch it over (depending on how it's mounted to the K&N). Other than that....nothing special.
There was a video posted of a very very very easy way to change the factory air filter for maintenance. Maybe someone has it saved and will repost it. Makes changing the factory filter SUPER easy.
