Parking brake bar availability problem
I'm working on the rear brakes on my '81 F-100 , I have found that the left side parking brake bar is damaged . No place seems to have left side , even though they have a number for it , only the right including the local Ford dealer . Can the right side one be used on the left without a problem ? The only visual difference seems to be the reinforcement area is bowed up on both versions and putting the right on the left would have that bow closer to the hub .

Well , I kept searching and found the answer in the NAPA online catalog . Apparently the left hand version has been superceded and the right hand version is now used for both . Three places did not have that information available to them for some reason . Thanks for the ideas . The old one had fallen out and one end was almost worn off so I had to find something .
