9 Inch, what gears?
Hi everybody, quick question, how do I know what gears I have in the 9 inch rear on my 77 F150 4X4? Is there any marking on there, or would I have to open it up? I haven't found any tag on it looking at it before. Also, my D44 in front, I assume they have identical gears, but I'd like to know....

You missed the "3" in front of the "50". Very common, as the bolt holding on the tag covers it. "3 50" means 3.50 ratio, non-limited slip. (3L50 is limited slip)
The other code, WDM-CN says:
Bronco '80-'82
Ford F150 Pickup '79-'82, 3.50 ratio, non-limited slip, 9" ring gear, 31 spline axle.

Ah OK, thanks very much. I sort of figured that out last night after a bunch of searches here, but good to have it confirmed, and I was confused about why there was no 3, and wondered about limited slip or not.
