Which ODBII tester?
I thought my Edge Insight would be good enough to read codes but have heard they are not efficient int that regard. What code reader would you guys recommend without breaking the bank?

Hey - I make do with a $50 code reader / eraser.....

I have the Innova 3130. It's a CAN-OBDII tester. If I had it to do over again, I'd get the 3150 as it also tests for codes in the ABS systems.

You can get a scanguageII for about $170 but it doubles as a gage to monitor anything the PCM can see.

Thanks, I think I will get the Autel Maxiscan, it should do the job.

I just bought an Actron OBD II tester for my shop . It is small and lite , Advance auto parts $49.99 . I have an expensive Mastertech unit but wanted a small one .

Going to throw another option out there for you that will allow you to do way more and get some actual diagnostic info as well as datalogging and clearing codes.

Well yeah....but if all you want is the codes, and hopefully my gauges will do the rest.
