Has anyone changed their badge to something different than chrome with black inlay? I was thinking about cutting the STX part off of mine and then painting the chrome black and inlaying it with the color of my truck... good idea, bad idea, impartial to it?

any tips or pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Those emblem overlays do not look all that great from what I have seen. I would just leave the emblem the way it is.

 

I think its a great idea! I was planning on cutting off the fx4 piece, then blacking out the badge completely, or painting it body color. Haven't gotten around to it yet, was hoping to see someone else do it first.

My only concern is - will cutting off the piece that displays the model (stx/fx4/etc.) expose any alignment holes in the body??
