P0102 & P0603
Anybody know what these codes mean? I mean I have the explanation my insight gives me (P0102: MAF Sensor Circuit Low Input, P0603: Internal control module Keep Alive Memory error) but I don't know that the useful interpretation of that is. The truck seems to be running fine though.

Have you tried resetting the computers, clearing the codes and seeing if it comes back?

Gearloose Code Reading Rule #1
Unless it is a "drop dead" code, like "your engine is about to melt" (e.g. EGT over 1600 degrees!),
ALWAYS treat code as suspect --- caused by glitch.
Erase the code, log the conditions it happens under.
Then see if it comes back.
If it still keeps coming back --- after 2X,
Reset the computers and see..
Still comes back?
You got a real code..

PS
I have a 6.0 that threw more codes than the Old Testament...
At the end of the day.. the only real thing I fixed:
New EGR valve, cleaned carbon particles, cleaned turbo of rust, new alternator, a few minor things...
Then regular Italian tuneup to blow crap out....
Now ... no code since!

Sounds good. How do I reset the computers in the even that this happens?

Disconnect batteries
Turn on headlight switch to "on" and dimmer to "max".
Go watch TV for 30 min
These steps must be followed to ensure that the capacitors holding the volatile memories in each of the black boxes be discharged.
Voila.
Note - your transmission will shift rough as it has to relearn the shift.

The P0102 code came back after cranking, and it made a funny high pitch sound as it was firing.

Mass airflow sensor....
Hmmmm this rarely fails.
Go unplug it.. verify no broken / chafe wire... clean contacts...
Plug it back in.
Clear codes
Restart.

What shape is your batteries / alternator in?
Do a voltage test as per my link and post results.
The latter error may be related to a weak battery.

ok the Maf code means that more then likly the maf senor is or was left on pluged. that the sensor on the air box.
the p0603 is just a code that basicly mean the pcm was reset to do low voltage or the like.

cheezer..
If that is the case... plug the MAF back solves that code.
0603 computer reset to clear any funky glitches that MIGHT be there.
Charge up batteries, verify alternator good...
Voltage test to ensure electrical system in top shape for winter..
Then it is good to go.

So if I made sure the MAF sensors is plugged in good and it still keeps coming on, then what does that mean?

it means its time to break out the scan tool and check a few things. first check IAT1 pid, then check maf signal.
