overdrive
I have a 99 expedition the overdrive light on the shifter works fine when you press the button but no overdrive the car drives fine if you manually shift it you start out in first then shift to second your still in first shift to 3rd you got 3rd thats it 65 to 70 mph 2500 to 3000 rpms allso whines a little but runs good any ideas thanks

When you say the OD light works on the shifter but no OD, do you mean the truck will not shift into OD when the light on the shifter is on? If that is the case, that is what it is supposed to do.
Why are you manually shifting an automatic? Do the shifts work normally when the transmission is in drive?
How many miles are on the truck? What engine? What is the history?
