99 expy tranny ID

HELP! Need to change trans fluid, but don't know which filter to buy, as I don't know which tranny I have. Apparently, 99s with the larger 330 V-8 had both the E4OD and the 4R100. How can I tell them apart? Is there a tag or VIN # that will identify the trans? The vehicle is a 4WD and has the tow package, with 9.75"rear axle and 3.73s. Hate to buy two filters...
