Weird problem with missing

I have a 2001 Excursion 7,3 and i am having some issues with the engine missing/hesitating. I can feel the miss at idle and between 1200-1600 RPM.( It`s worst when it`s cold, getting better when getting warmer) It is doing this almost all the time, exept when the fueltank is under 1/4(and lower). When it`s under it runs like it should, barely notecing the miss.
I think it has something to do with the fuel supply but not sure. I also have 2 codes P0671 and P0683. Would these 2 have something to do with this problem?
Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Any modifications to the truck? How long since you changed the fuel filter and the oil?

Your codes are related to your glow plug #1 and the GPCM. They won't cause the symptoms you're describing, but there is a chance there are more codes that your scanner cannot see. Most of the inexpensive code readers won't read engine codes for the 7.3

No modifications yet, all stock. Changed fuel filter and oil about 2000km ago. Had the same issues before the change. I`ve tried to change the TPS, CPS( F4TZ-12K073-C in the truck today), unhooking EBPV cable and tried to unhook the sensor that sits in the head on drivers side with no change at all.(default mode?)

i`ve had a couple of shops run diagnosis on it, but came up with nothing. Knowledge about these trucks is limited here in Norway.

I`m thinking about bying an AE from Riffraff diesel and see what it tells me.

Is your steering wheel on the same side as ours? The sensor you unplugged would be the ICP sensor. How bad is the miss? The new CPS from Ford has been known to cause a rough idle.

How expensive are parts over there? Since there are not a lot of shops used to working on the 7.3, buying AE is probably a wise investment. If parts are more expensive, you might also think about getting some various o-rings. IPR and injector o-rings come to mind that "might" be related to your problem. If you can get those locally for a reasonable cost, don't worry.

Sounds like, but may not be IPR or CPS. I'm pretty sure the fluctuating idle and slight miss I have every once in a while is due to my IPR, but haven't had the money to replace it, I'm broke as, well, a very broke person

Thanks for your replies. And yes, steering wheel is on the same side. Where do i find the IPR?
The miss is in my eyes bad. Feels like it`s running on 6-7 sylinders. Clears up a bit when engine is getting warmer. Funny thing it seems to run better with low on fuel. could be a coincidence? Parts are more expensive here. Injector o-ring set costs about250 dollars here. (for 8 injectors) Could be a good idea to order some o-rings and original black CPS at the same time with the AE?
i have also noticed when it has been idling for a while( 5 minutes), some blue smoke appear when i hit the accelerator. Could the o-rings cause the miss and smoke? The truck has 150.000 km on it.
Oh, and i have to say this is a great forum. Found a LOT of good info on this site.Even though im struggling a bit reading it in english.

May be on to something there, could have a couple problems. I'm going to sit back and let the pros chime in a bit more as they have way more info on injectors than I do but here is a pic as to where the IPR and stuff is curtsy of another member (don't know who) on this forum...
