gear ratios
s) will work? thanks
If you keep your questions about your 4x4 conversion in one thread, people will be able to follow what you are doing, which is trying to convert a f150 to have 3/4 ton axles. Then in another thread, you said you wanted a 70's straight axle front.
Basically all the 3/4 axles from the 70's are going to be the same, they only had two kinds; the Dana 44 and the Dana 60. I doubt you will find one of the Dana 60's from a early truck, they are not that common.
As far as "what will fit", it depends on your definition of "fit". Using my definition, none of them will "fit" since none of them will bolt in, and I have heard there are sometimes clearance problems between the pumpkin and the crossmember in a 80-up pickup when you try to make it fit.
