Does anyone have experience using shackles for lifts? They are pretty common in the Jeep offroad world. I see two types available 1)Front spring rear only drop, cheapest version. 2) Front spring front and rear, more expensive but probably keeps geometry correct.
I have a Tuff Country mini leaf stack for a level lift. Thinking about adding this for a little more for a total of 4~5", then find bigger blocks and U bolts for the rear to sit level. Seems alot easier and cheaper than a complete 4" lift kit.
I did the same thing you are planning, 2 1/2" spring pack, and the sanderson welding 1 1/2" shackles (no hangers). It provided the "look" I wanted, but I cant stand the way the springs sit. If I had it to do over (and I will!), I would do hangers and shackles.
