Coil length

Anyone here know what the uncompressed length of 79 F150 & F250 coils are? Are the F250 2.5" taller than the F150?

Your question is not that easily answered.
There are no less than 3 sets that can go on a 1/2 ton 2WD.
F100, F150, and F150 Cargo are the three I know of right off the bat.
If its a used coil, and the coil is sprung, it will be taller than a new factory coil.
Good Luck,

Well that's part of the reason why I was confused. I was told that stock coils were 15-16" uncompressed. The ones I have were 18.5" uncompressed. As it turns out they were from an F250??? or something like that.

It doesn't go by f150 or f250, it goes by front axle gross weight. I have a 78 f150 frame that had 351m, ac and a c6 and the front coils were rated at somehting like 300 more pounds than my 78 f250 300 4spd.
