Door Locks

Okay, next question. I have a crew cab, and on the drive side the two doors don't unlock or lock with the keyless entry. Now it sounds like the door lock actuator. Yet, does anyone know why it would happen just to those two doors on one side? And the other two are just fine? Anyone else have the same problem? Thanks!

Sounds like the actuators went out on that side first. Do they not work when you push the unlock/lock buttone inside the truck either? Here's a link to help:

Thanks, that's very helpful as far as the installation. Does anyone know why both would go out on just one side?

Was it hotter out today than usual? Was the driver's side on the sunny (hotter) side of your truck?

Yes, I AM asking this seriously.

Don't condemn the actuator before you make sure the wiring all checks out.

from experience...i tried the rebuilding threads...i used aluminum foil, steel and then a penny. all worked, but each only lasted about a month. i had all 4 of mine go out together...dont know why. i ordered 4 new actuators from here
AM Autoparts - Search Results for door lock actuators
and they have been working great ever since. its a real pain to keep taking out the actuator to fix the resistor...thats why for 85 bucks...it wasnt worth messing with...good luck

It should be the same for front and back, just different ones for driver and passenger since they are opposite when you install them.
