The engine seems to miss here and there mainly when the fuel is low. I was thinking mainly it could be a bad fuel pump, trash in the gas tank, or a bad spark plug ?
Any guesses ? The truck has 103,000 miles. How often should the plugs and pump be changed ? And how hard is it to change these plugs out ?
I have a code reader and it isn't reading anything for pending codes, that's one reason I'm confused. I guess a bad fuel pump shows up in the codes ? What about trash in the tank ?
If you have changed the fuel filter then do the plugs as reford said, they are due.
Take those plugs out and lay them down in the order of where they were.
Look at them and evaluate.
Maybe you can identify a weak one. COPS are suspect.
