Engine miss.
I have a F-250 2006 5.4liter V8 gas engine.
The engine seems to miss here and there mainly when the fuel is low. I was thinking mainly it could be a bad fuel pump, trash in the gas tank, or a bad spark plug ?
Any guesses ? The truck has 103,000 miles. How often should the plugs and pump be changed ? And how hard is it to change these plugs out ?

The plugs are supposed to be changed at 100k miles.
Any of the above mentioned reasons, plus a bad COP or spark plug boot, could cause a misfire condition.
To get a clue on where you should look, have your truck scanned with a code reader that will read PENDING CODES.

If you have changed the fuel filter then do the plugs as reford said, they are due.
Take those plugs out and lay them down in the order of where they were.
Look at them and evaluate.
Maybe you can identify a weak one. COPS are suspect.
