Clutch fork shaking
I just put in a new 11in clutch,pressure plate,flywheel, throwout bearing,clutch fork,and clutch fork ball seat. I get a noise like something is rubbing in the bell housing and with the hood opened looking at the clutch fork is shaking. Is this normal to have a little noise and for the clutch fork to be moving while the clutch is disengaged with the engine idling. I have had it to the shop that put it in twice and still same thing. Does the truck need a 10inch clutch instead of 11in? I did recently swap from a 6 to an 8cyl not sure if that has anything to do with it also tranny was completely gone through.

i agree with jim, i did a clutch job on my 80 f150 and put a new fork and release spring on and my clutch wouldn't disengage. then i found out that the spring had to much tension on it and was pulling the fork back to far. i adjusted the spring and everything worked fine.
