Well I had a 1975 F-250 full time 4x4 360 that I sold to my uncle and it looks like I'm getting another one.
I've got this running 1938 Farmall F20 tractor that I've been trying to sell for a few months. I've got $480 in the tractor.
Yesterday I got a call from a guy off craigslist offering me a truck for trade. He's in a tractor collectors club and has been looking for an F20! Its a 1976 F-250, part time, auto, 360. Runs good with title. He said he's had it for a long time and now its mostly used around the farm. He said its an AC truck but the compressor is gone and that the power steering is leaking. If I were to pick any year highboy this would be it. Disc brakes, open knuckle and no 351m/400.
He lives about 50 miles from me but said he will trailer the truck to my house then trailer the tractor home. He seems really motivated and wants to do this before the weekend!
I haven't gave him a definitive answer but I think I'm going to go for it. I have no idea really what I will do with it but I'm kind of excited and wanted to share. What do ya think? Do it?
Hey we are not that far apart, it would be worth the drive just to get everything off one truck to do a switchover plus its off the same year.If you make the trade let me know...

thanks mike...
I'll let you know but we are almost 500 miles apart.
And I just called the guy and told him that I'd do it. We are trading Thursday evening.
I don't think I would trade a F20 for that. Its worth more than that truck unless it is in real sad shape.
Well now you have me second guessing myself! haha. I've been trying to sell it on craigslist and tractor house since April with no luck. I'm only asking $975 and I have had almost no interest at all. I also have a 1935 F-30 which is a lot more rare so I really don't need the F20.
Heres the F20.
I would do the trade. That 76`s passenger front fender rusted out weird didn`t it. I have seen them rust out in the wheelwell, but not there below the logo. Good luck with it.

Thats what I thought as well but it almost looks like someone drove a fork lift through it! haha. Almost looks like somewhat of a puncture to me. Kinda like maybe there is some metal balled up toward the rear of the hole- next to the door. I guess I'll find out in a few days.

Yeah but like I said I have an F30 which is bigger, better, rarer, and worth more than the F20 so I don't really feel like I'm loosing much. The F30 is also a 1935 so it's a grey one not red. My family has a TON of antique tractors, its pretty rediculous.

After seeing the pic, in my opinion I wouldn't do the trade, I'd rather have the tractor. I have many antique tractors also. I got 3 A John Deeres, Allis-Chalmers WD45, Allis-Chalmers B, Farmall Cub, and a Farmall 504.
I've actually been looking for a Farmall 504, 544 or 656.
And I made the trade today. Pretty happy with it so far. Its a little rusty but it seems pretty good mechanically and it runs and drives good.
The interior is above average I would say. The seat has been recovered, not a crack in the dash pad and the door panels are amazing. They are kind of a cream color with the chrome trim and I did not see any damage to them anywhere.
I have a few questions about it. It would a NP205 t-case correct? My uncle thought that all 1976 F-250 4x4s autos were full time? Thats not right is it?
