Reliablity
Throughout the Alberta oilpatch in the late 70's & early 80's all you saw was Ford & Chevy trucks owned by the Companies & also privately. I've got an '86 F-150 4X4, 5.0L EFI & when it runs fine it's one of the best trucks i've ever owned. Then it breaks down it one of the most difficult vehicals i've ever tried to repair. At least with a carb. you could limp home but when, this decides to fail, it's just toast. Let's here about some reliability stories, cold starts, pulling capacities, miles before teardown. etc. stories.

My dad has a 79 460 on propane that has lasted almost 280 thousand miles without many problems except for lately it has taken to bend the pushrod on the number one hole's exhaust whenever it gets heated up during a long drive and he slacks off after he wound it up and it sticks in the head.
