CCV Mod question

I have read a lot on the ccv mod. Has anyone ever ran EMT conduit down on top of the exhaust to keep it from freezing in the winter.

I installed the IH draft tube on mine. It is steel and vents at the bell housing. Cool thing is the engine fan moves the air around it where you seldom smell it. Got it from Riffraff.
