towing limit?

1990 specs are all I have handy -
All are "up to" towing capabilities, the more your truck weighs or the more load you have in your truck reduces your actual towing capacity as you will exceed the GCWR if you have a fully loaded truck and a maximum weight trailer. It is one or the other but not both -
5.8 w/4.10 is - 8400lbs trailer, max 13,000 GCWR
7.3 w/4.10 is - 9100lbs trailer, max 14,000 GCWR
7.5 w/4.10 is - 12,500lbs trailer, max 18,500 GCWR
All figures are for AUTOMATICS - Manuals are rated at a lesser amount. (up to 1500 lbs less on trailer towing depending upon the engine package)
Again, this directly from the 1990 owners manual. It would be best for you to pick up a owners manual for your paticular year.
