There is a guy around here with a older chevy, he takes his inside wheels of for in the snow. Doing that gives him more weight per square inch on the contact point to the road. With the duals you have twice the surface area touching the road which is the same as having half the weight in the back of the truck. I don't know if this is what you mean or not but I figured I'd mention it.
