Don't know why I hummed and hawed over getting around to this for so long........well that's not true. Hard to convince the "banker" that you need a "loan" for legitimate stuff sometimes.

Tried my 87 perf along I89 over some good passes yesterday.
Never dropped out of O/D like it normally does. Felt effortless. Got 14mpg @ 75mph; short trip, definitely still climbing in mpg so can't wait for a longer trip over 'known' terrain for comparison.
Did happen to squak em a bit at an intersection in the city - by mistake of course... And this is an Ex so not a light empty bed back there.
Surprising how little throttle is needed to get going and cruise.
Shifts a little sooner than stock for sure both at WOT and normal throttle, and pulling harder.

Flashed the tow tune for the drive back home just because - but no camper. Would not go into O/D @ 55mph - I can see this being a better program for leaving the O/D button alone when towing.
Funny though it seemed like the tow tune wanted to get better mpg for a while, but ended up back in the driveway at 14mpg, same as the perf tune.
Cruise control wasn't as friendly in tow tune for some reason - kind of jerky when letting-off and getting back on, maybe only my truck, besides I don't generally use cruise when towing so not a concern.

Longer day drives necessary to really observe more - and with the camper in tow, but overall a great improvement. Like getting a new truck.

Thank you for the feedback. The tow tune works well towing anything 5000 lbs or more; anything less you can tow with the perf type tune.
