My passenger side power window always works in the morning and at night, but in the afternoon it never works. When I get in my truck to go to lunch, or go home at the end of the day, the window will not go down. I have tried the controls on the driver & passenger arm rests, so it doesn't appear to be in the switch.
Eventually, the window will go down again. Sometimes it takes 2 minutes, sometimes it takes 30 minutes. I live in FL, and the only thing I can think of is that the heat is somehow affecting the motor or a connection. Any ideas? It's a 2000 F-250 XLT
I think you're on the right track. I'll bet what's happening is SOMETHING (wire, connector, etc..) is expanding as the interior warms up. If there isn't a 100% tight connection, it's temporarily coming apart when it warms up, then comes back together and makes contact when the vehicle cools. I'd start by opening up that door and checking all the connections.
