New truck
Just bought a 1979 Ford F-150 Custom. In pretty good shape but the ground wire is bad (so I am told) and i noticed the voltmeter won't go above 11. Also I'm told the heater core is starting to leak. But I hope these are minor issues. I live in the Bermuda Triangle of old cars, everyone i have bought made it here then dies mysteriously.

These trucks have AMMETERS not voltmeter

If it has a voltmeter that is an aftermarket gauge

Check all your Battery cable connections and have your battery professionally tested

Its a custom aftermarket gauge cluster. I know the battery, voltage regulator, alternator are all new...
