Finally got my hose that goes from the oil filter cap to the sender. Took the stock
cap off and guess what?? Silly me forgot to get another filter. The motor craft
that "snaps" on,, really snaps on. I guess it swells or something. Anyway, the
only filter i could get quick without a cap with it was a "purolator" filter. Im due
an oil change in about 1000 miles. Tell me this purolator is not gonna hurt anything
that quick. Im may attemp to get the "old" filter out again now that i have a spare
but not sure what luck i'll have,, thanks guys.
Well i went on and installed the purolator. It seemed just a tad long, cause i had
to compress the spring just a little. It did snap on the cap good. Maybe the tiny
bit longer was the difference in the ceiling of the billet cap. Anyway, the gauge
was working with no leaks. Now just got to find out what type of reading I
should be looking for.
I don't want to rain on your parade but that Purolator filter is a piece. I had gotten a couple on sale and then compared them to my Ford filters, bad fit, wrong length, snap on cap attachment... I kept them only to have spare O-rings and have never, nor will ever, have a use of them.
Swing by, I have plenty of good filters in stock. I bought them on sale too.
