HPOP Help
I just removed my HPOP last night. The non-service plug was loose so I think that is where my oil leak is coming from. I got a kit from diesel-o-rings with all the parts to fix it. It says to get the IPR out to use a 1 1/8 socket. How do you get the black connector out so the socket will go on? I think if I take the cheap nut off the end the IPR will slid out. If this is so will I need new o-rings to reinstall it?

You won't need new orings unless one is cut or ripped which doesn't happen much. Take the connector off by pulling the wire bale the holds it on, then the nut, and then you can slide off the assembly that the connector plugs into. Then you can use the socket to take out the IPR, being careful to keep it clean.

Yeah, IPR O-rings probably aren't necessary, but since it's out, lean it and reseal it so you won't have problem with it like I just did. It got gummed up and the O-rings weren't leaking, but were easy to break.
To get that clip off, just pull the metal clip made outta thin wire out away from the body of the HPOP. Then, undo that tiny nut and the solenoid and spacer should come right out!
