need just a weeee bit more info, are they both autos, its the 90 a gas job or diesel?
regardless, only powerstroke e4od trannys will work, TCM PCM conrole and what not.
if its a 5spd, im not 100% possitive but pretty sure you cant on that either,

ok just talked to my buddy, they will bolt up ok he said may have a drive shart issue and need to take the yoke off the 97 and put on the 90, other than that should be good, just look at your yokes one may be longer he said. good luck!!!

thanks about that warning but when i got the tranny the guy gave me the hole truck now i just got to figure out what to do with the rest of it

I think there is a difference in the wiring somewhere iirc. I'd pm Madvan or Mark Kovalsky (I think I spelled that right) and ask one of them. They will know for sure.
