Engine builders, machine shops in / near RI?

Engine builders, machine shops in / near RI?
I have a 4.9L inline six, and it seems to be running fine now, but I haven't even bothered with a compression test yet. So ...
If I ever developed a problem / needed some work done, I'd be interested in identifying vendor(s) with:
- Good rep. for engine work generally
- Experience building this engine would be a plus
- Reasonable (non-dealer!) rates
- Reasonable driving distance from Pawtucket
No objection to paying a group member / someone with a home shop, if the other qualifications were satisfied.

Everyone I know seems to love Simplex Engines. They're in providence and they'll do anything from big diesels to lawnmower engines.
