I want to thank Tenn Mike for this illustration on the transmission cooling of our 7.3's, thanks Mike. I copied and pasted it from another thread after searching all nite last nite I finally found it just an hour ago.A special thanks to Clay also for the Derale 7000 kit. Now my problem, how do I tap into these lines with my aux. trans cooler?? My direction say to connect after the stock cooler, is that one the intank cooler in the radiator or the small one in between the IC and AC condensor???? In the illustration above, how do I start my project with the hoses, connect first hose where and then the next hose?? Thanks...
Mike, I don't have the otw cooler so don't know how much I can help. What kind of cooler did you get? Do you want to install the cooler in series with the other one?
Mike, I installed a Tru-Cool this way. I disconnected the rubber hose from the return line to the tranny, and ran it to the tru-cool, then plumbed the other tru-cool line back to the hard tranny return line. Fluid flow is trans to radiator cooler, to stock trans cooler, to tru-cool, and back to trans. return line.
Its the Derale 7000 kit Grant but this one is a 10,000 towing rating 22500 GVW rating, perfect for me. And yes, in series with my coolers....And thanks Dean, appreciate it..

Reason: Added Dean and fixed rating.
I'd just get rid of the stock itty bitty cooler and bolt the new one in its place. So that would be as described above- trans to rad cooler, to aftermarket cooler, back to trans.
I don't know Chase, this new one only a bit bigger than stock and I'd be defeating my objective, or keeping the temps the same of sorts. Got me thinking though of adding a trans filter in there somewhere but thats later. Still open to more suggestions....

Opps, sorry Clay, your right, 10,000 towing, 22500 GVW. Fixed up top.. This is a great kit Clay, just want to make sure on the right hoses to connect too..

Nice find to say the least brother Chase. I've been finding 38R turbos but no 6.0 TC's. Still open for suggestions or did Dean back some post hit it right on..I think I can manage that..

Mike, is that the 16 pass cooler with the 10" fan.
Nope, the Derale 7000, do a search Bob, Clay sent me this to try on mine and to see how the install goes, easy, good investment, exct. I might have to wait till the weekend now but the install with pics and explainations on the job will follow, the least I can do for Clay and FTE. Stay tuned.

Thanks Jay, nobody was chiming in so I suppose thats what everybody did. Looked at some other setups, Izzy351 Joe rings a bell but just couldn't get it to stick in my head. I appreciate everybody's help.
I put the exact one in my truck. Once you get underneath, take a look at the two steel lines coming from the tranny. One will go to the radiator, thats the hot one, the other will come from the small factory cooler, thats the cold return line, and the one you want to tie into.
I popped the rubber line off the steel right there.
Mount the cooler in front where you want it, I mounted mine right on top of the little Power steering cooler. Once anchored in, hook up the Derale supply line to the top port on the new cooler and run it back to the steel return line to the tranny. Cut that line and clamp on so that it doesn't rub anywhere.
take the piece leftover after that, and install it in the lower port on the cooler, run it back to the rubber piece that is coming from teh original cooler now. there is a barb in the kit, use it to splice the too together.
Add 1/2 quart of tranny fluid or so, fire it up, check for leaks, and go tow something.
