On the pass side under the dash is a small black box with a white button on the top of it. It has 2 yellow wires plugged into the bottom of it. It says "first inertia switch" on it. I followed the wires and 1 is cut and the other ends up in the fuse box it looks like.
I changed my truck to a mechanical fuel pump on the block and when I changed the fuel tank I got a tank from an 86 f-350 diesel that doesn't have the electric pick up in the tank. My truck runs fine, I just want to make sure of what it is before I go ripping it out to get rid of extra bs that I don't need anymore.
Is this for a fuel safety shut off in case the truck rolls over or is in a accident?
