really, spare compressor? you are off the wall. so you plan on carrying spare alternator, spare batteries, spare rolls of wire, electrical tape and cutting tools. tooks to remove your diff cover and extra gear oil? no, thats a retarded argument
Of course not in a tow/work rig, that's my point. Too much to go bad with the ARB air lockers.
Now my crawler, yes I do carry common items that could bail me or a buddy out, such as axle shafts, drive shafts, brake lines/hoses, gear oil, brake fluid ect.
i love how people have one thing and think anything other then that are junk. and nobody here is talking about a crawler. none of our trucks would come close to one. the guy is talking about extra traction in the snow or mud, not takin it on the rubicon
I don't care for a locker in the snow. Honestly, my '86 is like a tank in the snow. I'm used to starting out in the snow with our diesels w/o any issues. Now in the PSD, it has a rear clutch type limited slip, the type you have to add a slip additive to your gear oil. When the LS activates in the slick, it'll shoot your rear end out to the side. I've gone almost completely sideways on the highway the first time it activated. I've had my rear end swing out a few times after, but nowhere near as badly. Perhaps a limited slip in the front would be the best option. Maybe an Eaton instead of a clutch pack system.
