Hello all, new here and hoping to get some input before I buy a truck. Im looking to get a F250 Crew Cab, how bad are the 6.0 really? I know I would rather have a 7.3 but they are getting pretty scarce and the trucks in my price range (15k) have some miles on them. I was also thinking about a 5.4- do those do ok in an F250 or are they working to hard? Any input would be great thanks!
What years were you looking at?
What plans do you have for the truck? Hauling, towing? (how much weight)
Diesel will cost you more on maintenance.
6.0 has had it's issues, but some don't have issues. Alot depends on how well they were taken care of (maintanance, service etc..)
5.4 is a great reliable motor but again will depend on what your plans are for the truck.
The 05's and up 5.4's have the 3valve motor so they have a bit more power.
Why not consider the 6.8l V10 as well.
Do an oasis report regardless.
