Internal Engine Cleaner

Just wondering if anyone has ever added anything to the oil to wash out all the gunk and varnish? Used to to it to my gas vehicles every 100,000 km. Used to run the stuff for 10 minutes or so and then drop the oil.

If you use good quality oil and filters and change it regularly there shouldn't be a reason to have to "clean" the inside of your engine.

Not to be rude, but have you ever seen the inside of an engine after 300,000 km? Why would we be doing CCV reroutes, intercooler and intake cleanings etc... I change my oil and filter every 5000km with 5W40 synthetic. No matter what, there are deposits in the engine. Doesn't matter what oil or filter you use. If yours don't have any deposits, then I would really like some of that stuff. Especially the stuff that keeps your intake manifold, intercooler, intercooler boots, EBP sensor and EGR valve clean. Let me know what you are using.

Todays oils have a lot more detergent than oils of the past and they keep them in suspension much better. No substitute for regular oil changes however.
