Back Glass Seal
Hello all,
Been a while since ive posted on FTE. This site sure has grown. Good deal!
Had a question about my 91 F-150. I found two paint bubbles w/ rust at the cab seams peeking below the back window seal and need to pull the window to see what I'm dealing with. I want to replace the seal because it has a metal trim on it that has rusted badly. I have a sliding back glass.
I've searched on line for an 91 OEM seal without a trim piece (dont want to deal with rust anymore), but they only have drawings and dont address the trim. Aftermarket and sponsored sites have a plethora of stuff, but Ive heard only to use the oem seal with an oem slider.
My questions are:
- Do any of the 92-96 models have metal trim on their seals? If not, then Ill just get a 92 slider seal and be done with it.
- I saw a tinted window w/ seal assembly offered by CRL. I really like the tinted option. Anyone ever use their gear? Does it fit nice? Will they sell to individuals? I ask that because their website seems to be geared towards sellling to businesses. Please pardon the long post and thank you!
