Fuse box issue

It all started with my wipers not working at times then not at all. Bought a new wiper motor, still not working. Bought a new turn signal wiper switch, still not working. By chance one morning I banged on the fuse box cover and the wipers started working so I thought the fuse was loose. It was loose so I just touched the fuse and the wipers and the wipers quit then held pressure on the fuse and they worked. I got a tooth pick and wedged it in besides the fuse. Work fine now but would like to know how to properly fix it instead of jerry rigging it. Don't really want to buy a new fuse box because if all the electrical connections and headaches that come with replacing the box.

bend the tabs which hold the fuse. Hard to think you didn't check the fuse first.?.

The contacts in the fuse box can be changed, but like bakon said, bend the tabs.

Mine had an issue with the fuse box.

When I purchased it I noticed that there were a number of copper connectors that were forced into the socket between the fuse contacts.

This allowes you to connect a spade lug connector to tap the power. I found evidence that my truck had a two way radio installed. Coax and holes for a microphone.

I removed the connectors and had problems with the fuses involved. They would not make contact. I reinstalled the connectors and have not had any problems since.

Maybe yours had a similar device installed before you purchased it. You could fix it by reinstalling some connectors. Where to get them?
