When im pulling my forklift i get a vibration mainly when taking off on a in
cline. It only does it when im taking off .My truck is 2004 f250 automatic this problem is starting to worry me has anybody had this problem
check your exhaust pipes for clearance issues, it might be rubbing somewhere like the downpipe for example, if nothing there you may also consider checking the 5 bolts that hold the turbo down. You need to just poke around a bit or give more detail describing your vibration.

I've experienced the same situation with both my '03 and '05 F350's (6.0 with a torqueshift tranny). The vibration only occurs under a high load, and then only for a few seconds.
My '08 F450 also does it occasionally, but less often. However, the '08 has 4:88's, and the F350's had 4.11's, so there is less loading on the '08 tranny.
Based upon my experience, I would not worry about it, but would be somewhat gentle in 1st gear).
the forklift wieghs about 18,000 the vibration fills like its in the back. The truck has 180,000 miles on it no problems yet well its had head work done on it but its been a great truck other than that.

Wow!You don't baby that thing. That is an insane amount of weight for a single axle truck.
You may want to try greasing the slip yoke. I had almost the same issue with my 06, and greasing the slip joint on the rear shaft fixed it. There is a write up in the tech folder on it.
sounds to me like you overloaded a little bit. I think you are having a pinion angle issue causing it. been there donr that.
can you move the forklift back on the trailer a little bit and take some weight off the toung. That may help.
I have a vibration from initial take off. I took it to the dealer and they said it was my carier barring. The height of it needed to be adjusted so the vibration will go away.
thats what I said. droping the center bearing down will drop the driveshaft down and change the angle.
simply repositing your load may do you just as much good.
Wasnt there a bulletin on this issue for some of the SD trucks and they had a kit with shims or something. I thought it was LWB trucks with the 2 piece drive shaft?
