My truck: 1975 F-250 Ranger 5.9/L 360 manual transmission had been stalling and gassing up so I had the carburetor rebuilt and have yet to put it back on. After it’s installed I was considering converting to electronic ignition. (never done this before) I was curious if anyone had any thoughts on if this could be successful. I pulled the Dist/coil and control unit ( Not a Duraspark like most)off a 1980 F-250 not sure of the engine size it was pretty beat up. Reason: Left out truck info
1975 should be an electronic ignition?! late 1974 is when they converted (according to Chilton). And from everything that I read the Duraspark is an awesome dist. you can't do much better! the only reason I want to add a MSD is to get the rev limiter. I would definately swap to a 8mm wire.
