When i hook my horse trailer up to my 01 F250 the interior lights on horse trailer wont work. My 12 volt pin on my plug on truck side has no power even with key on in either place the bumper 7 way plug or the one up in the back of the truck. I dont have owners manual anymore but all fuses are good. I didnt have this problem with my 99 F250 and trailer lights all work on my 06 dodge just fine. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
if your 12volt pin does not have power you there is your problem, i had to install a relay and fuse that was in the glove box to get my 12v and trailor brakes to work. hopefully some one can give the location for these. if not i will look in the glove box after work i think the instruction card for this is still in there.
Which pin are you checking for 12volts.. the center pin or the pin at 1 o clock .. ?
You can download a owners manual for your truck from Ford free at : http://www.flmowner.com/servlet/Cont...ionalEventPage

There are two sets of fuses, one under the steering column and one under the hood, in the back driver-side corner near the firewall. Both boxes have fuses related to trailer wiring, though there are more in the one under the hood.
In my experience with deluxe trailers and these trucks, it is pretty easy to blow one of the fuses by plugging in the trailer lights with the truck running lights already switched on, particularly in wet conditions.
I bought a new Haulmark trailer last winter and at first the interior lights didn't work, but they came on a few weeks later. I hadn't done anything really except pull a wire brush across the connector. Something finicky about that circuit I guess.
Check the Power Distribution Box under the hood fuse #16- 30A** Trailer Tow Battery Charge
I had the same problem with my 5th Wheel.(fuse looked good until i pulled it)
