are cab chassis frames the same

I believe the height and width are the same on the chassis cabs ('08-'10 F350-F550), but the thickness changes with GVWR. The higher the GVWR the thicker the frame. The number of cross members also vary depending on cab configuration and wheel base.

well im speaking of a 2000 f250 cab chassis. its a srw and i found a good deal on a wrecked f450. i wanted to convert it to a f450 but was wondering about frame thickness ,height, and strength

cab chassis f250 -i have one and it's 34 inches ouside rail to outside rail. I have a pick up f250 and it's 37" or 38" rail to rail. the cab chassis frame is also straight after the cab. the pick up has a small hump by the rear wheels. i'll have to measure my oolder SD tomorrow for thickness.
I believe all cab chassis are 34" wide. even my 98 f800 is 34" wide as well as my Isuzu rollback and the 2000 f250 cab chassis is also 34" wide.

That's the way it is supposed to be. All chassis cabs have standard 34" frame rail width and is straight just like you have noted. I think the frame thickness on an F350 chassis cab is around .280". It might be the same on the F250 chassis cab, but I'm not sure.
