Bad Accelleration

Ok I'm at a loss here so any help will be appreciated. I have a 2002 Excursion with 125,000 miles and the v10 motor. The problem is when the motor is cold it starts fine an occasional miss (very faint) and at times will stall as it warms up runs fine. Now if your driving down the road at a steady speed and push down on the gas it kinda sputters and hesitates at that point i punch it and it accellerates fine. Also had a problem with the ABS light coming on and the speedometer fluctuating when accellerating (replaced the VSS) and occasionally it still does it. Then check engine light did come on but now its off. Any suggestion. Thanks Oh BTW ran it 240 miles on the PA Turnpike with the cruise contol on and it ran great the next day same problems

Coils are a very common issue and will have their first problems when cold.

If the CEL came on there should be a code set. If you take it to an auto parts store they will read the code and that may give an insight to what is going on.
